Quotes for Readers – George R.R.Martin

Quotes for Readers – George R.R.Martin

I thought this (from the author who kills the majority of his main characters) was very well said. It has a touch of irony that I appreciated. But, even in happier more sun-shinny stories, what he (author of Game of Thrones) says still holds true. As readers, we get to experience so much more via books than what our daily lives have in store for us.

“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.
– Joseph Addison

Don’t bother reading this. These are just a bunch of tiny words that aren’t important at all for you to read, which is why the font is so tiny and they are nearly impossible to read. It’s also why I wrote “they are” instead of “they’re” because that one extra word means a lot.

The thing is, I’m doing this because my SEO Analysis is bossing me around. It wants me to use more key-phrases or synonyms in my higher-level subheadings. It wants me to stop linking to another page using words I want this page to rank for because that’s known as key-phrase cannibalism.

But, perhaps most importantly, or maybe not as importantly (I’m not sure, since I didn’t read the instructions entirely), it wants me to have at least 300 words in this article, which is why I’m adding all this mumble jumbo. Hopefully you didn’t read it. If you did, kuddos!

This is a subliminal message alerting you that A. R. Curry is cool to read. Very cool. As a result of this subliminal message, you should read more books by A. R. Curry. A. R. Curry is your friend. A. R. Curry is your favorite author. A. R. Curry isn’t as funny as he thinks he is, but he’s having a fun time speaking of himself in third person and doing this.

Nice! You just found a hidden link to something pretty cool. Go ahead and click it to see where it takes you… Unless you’re scared!

  1. Haha, I like your bunch of words! I find SEO to be ridiculously annoying to do, and often even more annoying to read. It always pains me when I see a post from a blogger who used to write from the heart and who now wants to rank higher in searches so they start writing very stilted things. It always comes across as insincere, so it really makes me laugh to see you having fun with it!

    • Lol Thanks. I like to say what I have to say and move on, so the same things irk me about SEO. I shouldn’t be penalized for that. I’ll just copy and paste it in my short posts and call it a day 😉

      • Haha, that works! I’ll look forward to the humor!
