It’s been a year since my father passed away, so to honor the man who showed my writing dreams nothing but support, I thought it fitting to cartoonify him.
He was a retired veteran and loved spending thirty minutes a day working for my hometown elementary school. For this reason, when I include him in my upcoming book, he’ll get the prestigious title of: Crossing Guard!
Have you signed up to be cartoonified for my new book yet? If so, grreat! If not, no worries. It’s easy enough. All you have to do is be a BOOK SPONSOR, which ONLY cost $10.
Being a BOOK SPONSOR gets you three things:
Pretty nifty, right? I think so!
For now, I’m calling it, My Yearbook Nightmare! If you want a general idea of what it’ll look like, just picture a school yearbook, but with cartoonified people! All BOOK SPONSORS will be on the “Faculty page”, and there will be a zany theme for each of the classroom pages that come after. (I.E. Fairytale, mythological, presidents, athletes, famous people, ect.)
The basic story is this: After the star of the book falls asleep in class, he wakes up inside his school’s yearbook. Eek! He starts racing through the variously-themed pages trying to escape as silly stuff keeps happening. How will he escape? That’s for you to find out. 😉
